Stainless steel has found its place beyond kitchens and bathrooms, infiltrating with elegance in the most unexpected spaces of the home and office. Sometimes it seems that its use can only be industrial, but it is obvious that its presence has a positive impact in the room, being able to transform the environment with its sophistication and style.
At home, dining and side tables find in stainless steel an unexpected ally. The combination with wood or glass creates a visual harmony that is difficult to achieve with other materials. It is not only its resistance to daily use, the sensation of order and clarity that it transmits is remarkable. In open spaces or lofts, this kind of furniture becomes the focal point, the piece around the rest of the elements are articulated.
In the office, stainless steel imposes a professional aesthetic. A desk with a metal frame makes the workspace look more spacious and dynamic. What also fascinates us about stainless steel is its ability to adapt to different styles. Depending on the finish we choose, it will blend in with its surroundings in one way or another. Among the finishes most commonly used in architecture are 2D, with matt appearance and some roughness; 2B, which adds slight shine thanks to a skin pass; and BA, which offers the highest reflectivity with the lowest roughness, due to its non-oxidising atmosphere treatment. For other decorative applications, the 2M or Emboss finish introduces embossed patterns, opening up a range of design possibilities.
