Madrid buildings
Pdf downloadTorre Europa was built between 1974 and 1985 by Miguel Oriol e Ybarra and is 120 meters high. It is not in the ranking of the three tallest buildings in Madrid, but it is one of the few that offers 360-degree views of the capital.
Between 2016 and 2018, it was refurbished, due to the need to modernize the building, including an innovative lighting system and a stainless steel façade covering. After the inauguration, the building was known for its innovation, and that is what was intended with the reform; consider Torre Europa as an example of a modern company. In the refurbishment of the building, the architectural structure was respected as much as possible, as it was impeccable.
The use of stainless steel was often hidden between the pillars. But, more and more professionals are using stainless steel as the main material for its external part, giving the building elegance, cleanliness and modernity. Moreover, as it is a sustainable material, its use contributes to the circular economy.
